HOMELESS OUTREACH
Our mission of mercy to the suffering
"Those who are oppressed by poverty are the object of a preferential love on the part of the Church which, since her origin and in spite of the failings of many of her members, has not ceased to work for their relief, defense, and liberation."
Catechism of the Catholic Church (no. 2448)
ACTS OF CHARITY
Our approach to serving those on the streets is informed by the rich tradition of the Catholic Church and Catholic social teaching. Therefore, we seek to maintain the dignity and inherent worth of each person while meeting immediate needs resulting from their poverty. Our Catholic faith instructs us to give food to the hungry without qualification, to provide clothing to the naked because they are worthy of being covered, and to open our doors to be a refuge for the weary.
MEALS
72,000+ served per year
CLOTHING AND ESSENTIALS
Always free, always available
LAUNDRY
Loads running daily
FEEDING THE HUNGRY
Everyone eats, no matter their condition
We serve breakfast and lunch to our friends on the streets at no charge. We are able to do this through partnerships with other non-profits, food distributors, grocers, bakeries, and churches. We do not discriminate and we never turn people away because they are mentally ill or have been using.
CLOTHING THE NAKED
If we have it, we will give it
Many people living on the streets do not have adequate clothing. Wear and tear, theft, moisture, and a host of other reasons often mean that a person with a coat today does not have a coat tomorrow. Whatever we have is free for those who desperately need it.
CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE
Dignity through laundry
Clean clothes can make all the difference. From being presentable to ensuring good health, access to laundry is an important part of our ministry. We have washers and dryers available all day to anyone who needs them, free of charge.
