Voice of the Poor Committee

Mission Statement

This committee, in a spirit of love and justice, upholds God given values by researching, validating and documenting issues related to the condition of the poor. Its purpose is to help members of the Society and the Community to live their faith by acting knowledgably and credibly as a unified voice for the poor, all who feel powerless and voiceless.

The Voice of the Poor Committee gives a voice to the voiceless in our society and helps Vincentians keep abreast of the news and pending legislation which affects those who would otherwise have no one to advocate for them.

For more information about the committee please visit the national website of the Voice of the Poor Committee.

The local committee is in the process of restarting in time for the 2009 Montana Legislative session and we will post more information as it becomes available.

If you have questions or are interested in the committee please feel free to call either Harry or Randy at 252-1855 or e-mail the Voice of the Poor Committee.
